My wife's '97 Expy just started having this faint vibration/buzzing coming through at speeds 45+. The sound is similar to road noise, but you cannot actually hear it with the windows open.
The noise seems strongest 50-60 mph, but seems do drop off at higher speeds , maybe due to increase in wind noise.
It seems that the noise is coming from the driver's side front-end, but am not positive and there is some steering wheel
vibration as well.


We are the original owners and except for AC and O2 sensor replacements, we have been pretty lucky.
The tires are fine with proper inflation

I searched the previous threads, but did not find any similar vibration issues

Any comments are greatly appreciated

 

Update.....the noise continues to be there at speed even when shifted into neutral, so I guess that is good.....should rule out tranny.
