Need help finding name/code for a certain exterior color please.

Hi. New here. My wife would like to buy a used Expedition and is looking for a certain blue. I believe I've seen it on '97-'98 models. It is a medium bright blue that almost has a purpleish tint to it. That's about the best I can describe it. Not an Eddie Baur color, I've only seen it on XLT's. I've been trying to find some specific info on what exactly the color is called, but every time I see it, it is only listed as "blue". Thanks for any help.

Does it look like this?

If so, on the King Ranch Edition, it's called CHARCOAL BLUE. If I'm not mistaken it was used as a color combo with the Arizona Beige on the Eddie Bauer Editions (just like dufunnel's truck shown above).

Not sure but, I think the Expy color was called Medium Blue.

Not yet. I've seen the color on a 92-96ish F150 since, but still haven't nailed it down. Wife has a '99 Black Escalade and doesn't like it (too hard to keep clean). Wish I could find a nice, low mile one close to us.

If I remember right it was paint code XC. But be careful with that color. There was usually lots of mottle in the rear quarter panels.
