I was at a local car show on sunday and was just browsing around when a Lincoln LS caught my eye. I realy like the LS's so I decided to go take a look. Well at this certain companys exhibit they had two suburban/yukons and the LS. The LS had a body kit and rims/tires and a few other interior mods. So after I got home I decided to go to there web site to check out what they are all about. Well I found that they mostly do SUVs, i guess they are just starting to do sedans. Anyway, I clicked on the expedition section and really liked the look of their expedtion(see below). They had a lot of various options including shaving emblems, painting grilles, new bumpers, rims/tires, full leather, custom mats, dvd, etc. I figured that they were going to be expensive so I decided to e-mail them and see what they would charge me to get the outside of an expedition to look like the one they had on their site(again, see below). So I emailed them and here is their response.

"Joe,

Bruce went over your email and asked me to give you the following information: The exterior work that you see includes (1)Deleting the Ford emblem in center grille and refabricate the matching "eggcrate" design - finish in matte color - choices include black, titanium, monochromatic, etc. (2) Removing all emblems, welding miscellaneous holes, metal finish, prep and repaint. (3) Removing all texture on plastic pieces and do monochromatic gloss and matte finish (4) Black chrome front and rear bumpers. (5) 3" nerf step bar with anti slip pads (6) Custom wheels and tires. The upgrades I have described would total $18,000 to $20,000. If you have any questions or would like to discuss it, please call me.

I laughed, $20K to shave the emblems, put on new bumpers, paint misc outside pieces, and add rims/tires. You have got to be kidding me. I want to see what all of you think bout their price.

Here is what their expy looks like. I know you have to either love or hate the whole black scheme but I happen to love it.


So, what do you think about an additional 20K on top of the expy price for what you see above?

Looks pretty good but not 20k good. You could easily have all that done by someone else at a body shop and buy your own rims and tires and probably be under 6k. I have a freind that works for a gm dealer and they are adding packages like that to the new h2 hummers. Instant 20k mark up.

If im giving them 20 G's just to make my exterior ugly as hell, id rather shoot myself!
Me personally would never go that route, just too much black IMO.
