'98 trade to an '03

Have any of you guys "traded up" to the new Expy? We have a '98 EB and I am looking at getting a new '03 EB. Any insights on good or bad would be a lot of help.
Thanks

Have you thought about waiting a few more months and getting an '04? I do believe they will have a 3V 5.4 with 305hp. I'm sure somebody else knows more about this.

new 03

you can get a great deal right now on a 03. 3k cash back or 0 percent financing. take the cash and get a 2% loan on the web.

plus, they are selling them dirt cheap. i had an offer for around 36k for a fully load 4x4 eddie bauer with the 5.4l.

That is why we are looking at them. My wife's heart won't be broken if she does not have 305 HP
Could you define fully loaded?

go to carsdirect.com. the prices are great. i've bought my last 4 cars from them with no problems. you can take their price, print it out and bring it with you to the dealer of your choice. they will probably beat that price by a couple hundred or more.

I kind of like the old bumpers on my Ex over the '03. Every car I have seen with the plastic bumper like on the new Ex has scrapes on the corners. Is this a problem for the 03 owners?

my parents just purchased an 03 expedition, Black EB. It is a huge improvement over the old one. Much quiter, much better ride, and heated and cooled seats . If you are looking for good ride quality i would opt for the air suspension, it seemd to take a lot of the truck ride out of it. Also the new turnig radius is quite impressive. When you test drive one, take it into an empty parking lot and crank the wheels. It is pretty impressive how tight it can turn. The 3000 rebate was suppose to end in april, but dealerships around here are still advertiseing it. Also there are rumors of bigger and better rebates.

You can buy at most dealerships now at invoice minus rebate. True invoice not BS invoice. Edmunds.com I found to be a pretty good source on invoice prices, and up to date.

Hope this helps. The Expedition is definitely worth taking a look at.
