Looking good.
How did you go about lowering your Navigator? I also have a 4wd and mine has also been lowered. Do you know what the measurements are from ground to top of wheel well? Keep up the good work.

Thanks.....
I never thought I'd lower a 4wd, but it's too damn hard to find a 2wd Navigator around here. I thought about a lift, but the ride would be way too rough at the height I was looking to put it at. So screw it, I lowered it!
It was actually pretty easy to drop. I played around to see how low it would get, and I was suprised how low you can go. In the rear I just adjusted the ride height sensor and I notched the bracket a bit to allow the sensor to drop further. It sits at about 30 1/2 inches in the rear from ground to fender lip. Oh and I yanked out the rubber snubbers as well. The axle hasn't bumped the frame yet, so I guess it's cool.
The front was a little more work, I had to play with the torsion bars quite a bit. I adjusted the torsion bars all the way down and then adjusted the front ride height sensor by moving the entire bracket back on the a-arm. It didn't get nearly as low as the rear though, so I pulled the torsion bars out to see how far I could go. The damn front end sat on the ground when I did that! So when I put the torsion bars back in, I notched the crossmember where the torsion bar tensioner sits which puts less pressure on the bars and allows the front end to sit lower. The front is a little higher than the rear still at about 31 1/2 inches. I pulled the snubbers out of the front too and cut out the box on the frame where they make contact.
I'm not too worried about cutting and hacking since I plan on putting bags on it anyways, I wouldn't recommend that much hacking if you ever want it stock height again though.
It still rides good the way it is though, I figured it was gonna suck when I got it to sit where I wanted it! The only thing that does suck is that factory air suspension lifts up about an inch when you put the thing in drive. I'm guessing that's something you can't get around. So that's why I'm gonna do aftermarket air bags, so I can put it where I want it and it will stay there! I just have to figure out if I can keep my 4wd when I install the front bags. I think I have it whipped though, I'll update the pics when I get around to doing all that.
