Question '00+ Center console in a '97?

Can I use a center console from a newer Expy ('00-01) in a '97 without modification? If not what is needed? Thanks!

The brackets to mount it are the same. The only difference in the console is the width between the seats at the top (lid). The newer style was designed for Captain's Chairs without armrests.

Thumbs up Hmm kool

Sooo if I used '00+ front seats, it would work out okay? And if I did not, then it would be a tight fit with the '97 seats? Thanks for the quick response!!

Correct. Some people have installed the wider console in '97-'98 F-150's and have removed the armrests.

Check out my Expy console FAQ page for more info http://www.geocities.com/scmc75/f150...expy-c-faq.htm

Question Hmm

Ok next question -- will the a/c and radio controls work? Also -- how do I know if I have rear air? There are no controls but the console was removed (lower and upper) so it may have had controls at one time. Thanks!

I don't know the answer to the A/C and rear air question. You may want to post something in the electrical forum.
