Question Front Seats

I have a 01 expy 4X4 EB with 40K on it. I bought it new and have had the seatbacks on the front seats replaced and repaired byt the dealer I have also had the bottom of the driver seat replaced due to it being deformed. I have it in for the 3rd or 4th time now and the Service manager is saying that ford doesn't replace seat backs or even seats.. I told him I won't be happy until that gets done and her said that there is nothign he can do.. So what should i do about this and is what he is saying true? ( it is the lumbar)

Squeeky wheel gets the grease. Since you have had an ongoing problem with the seats and they haven't fixed them it might be time to go over his head. I would call the district Ford representative if the Service Manager isn't willing to correct the problem.

Long shot would be to use the Lemon Law...if a vehicle has had the same reoccuring problem they can be forced to buy it back.

http://www.lemonlaw.com/njstatute.html
The New Jersey Lemon Law applies to new cars, both purchased and leased, which suffer a nonconformity; a defect or condition, which substantially impairs the use, value or safety; that cannot be repaired after three attempts by an authorized manufacturer's dealership. This nonconformity must first occur within the first 24 months or 18,000 miles, whichever comes first. The New Jersey Lemon Law also applies to vehicles that are in the shop for repair twenty (20) or more calendar days during the first year.

Ive got the same problem with the lumbar, it squeaks real bad unless I have it rolled all the way forward (sticking into my back). Haven't had a chance to take it to the dealership, but expect them to give me grief when I ask them to replace it.
