rear air ride problem????97 exp.

my rear air bags are leaking down and the compressor is running alot. sometimes they stay pumped up and other times they deflate all the way down. i've looked at the bags and they are cracked . but could it be a valve problem? HAS ANYONE EVER REPLACED THE BAGS? FORD PARTS QUOTED ME $200. PER SIDE. ARE THERE AFTERMARKET BAGS YOU CAN BUY THAT ARE CHEAPER?ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREAT.

did you see if the sensor is loose, if so it will let air out and fill them up randomly. If you have cracks in them you will hear the compressor on all the time and the back will probably sag. Make sure the switch is turned all the way in either direction as well, its under you passenger side dash, its pretty easy to see, make sure its clicked all the way in "ON"

The sensor is right above the rear middle of the axle, its a little black cylinder that looks like a small shock with a black cover on it.
