QLogic and sub in hte back
Has anyone installed the qlogic enclosure fora sub in the back where that cubby whole is. I am getting ready to upgrade my system to infinity 5x7 kappas in the front and rear doors and a qlogic with a kicker solobaric 10L7. I am thinking about running it all with the kicker amp 700.5. Any info on the qlogic would be appreciative and any comments on how you think the system would sound would be good as well.
I have the Kappa's in my beast - I put a Fosgate amp in that puts 65 to all 4 plus 150 to the sub... I wimped out asnd just replaced the stock sub with a fosgate 8".... The kappa's are awesome.... In the front, however, I think I would have preferred the kappa separates... I put those in the wife's stang along with 5x7's in the rear.... the thing sounds like you are at a concert live...
I don't think the Q Logic box will work with a square subwoofer such as the L7. The Q Logic box will work good for a moderate system, but don't expect thunderous bass out of it. My suggestion would be to look at the older JL Audio 10w6 or an RF HX2. Both would provide a good low bass for your system. I would power the sub with at least 200 watts per channel and preferably about 300 to 400 watts.
I have yhe Q-Logic in my Expedition, along with the Infiniti Kappa 5x7 in the 4 doors. I used a JL audio 10w6 for the sub as mentioned by Navi Man.
I am running all with an MTX 4 channel. However, I am considering changing to an a/d/s 6 channel, so I can add some rear speakers behind the third seat.
Back to the sound of the Q-Logic, dont expect mind-numbing bass from the set-up, it does provide a nice clean sound tho' depending on the music you listen to and the levels (gain) you set your amp to.
