All right guys. After driving 100 miles today trying to find a shop that would actually work on my truck. Most didnt want to remove the old cat, but I finally found a shop. It was actually the first place I was told to goto, but I pretty much forgot about them. I love the name, Bob's Muffler Shop, and I had Bob and his son do the work LOL. Well they did a great job and the sound my truck has is just nice. The Flowmaster used to be really loud, but that was it, it had no tone. The new setup isnt as loud, but it is DEEP and aggressive. It sounds like an old muscle car. I will get some sound clips, but they never do it justice. After I got home, I wanst feeling good, so I slept for like 6 hours. And to top it off, LSU lost 31 - 0 DAMN!!! Well after that, I took it out, and me and Intel decided we would see if it made an difference on my truck other than the sound. Well never spinning the tire off the line is a thing of the past
I can do it for a good 2-3 seconds on a good road. Well we only raced once. And since I never used to spin, his truck would be somewhere around my back bumper at the top of 1st, and through 2nd, he would put about 2 truck lengths on me. Well now, since I spun I was only about 3 feet ahead of him off the line, but through 1st and secong, I actually put a truck length on him. So if I would have had a decent launch, I probably would have had him by about 2 trucks. Rather than loosing by 2. SO I gained about 4-5 tenths I would say. And that was only to 70mph, I am sure I run the quater at like 81 or so. So while this did cost me a pretty penny, install was $373 ( a little steep, but they were one of the only shops who would do it, and would do a good job) and all the stuff I ordered from Mike wasnt cheap either, I am very happy with the outcome, I think the truck just sounds mean now. I tried another launch later that night on the same road, and I rolled into the gas and at about 5mph I punched it and got a little chirp. This has never happend before. So the low end has picked up a nice amount, and the high end is really there. I will get tons of pics tomorrow. And I might make a vid, I have to see how I am doing on time.

Beastie, sounds like the exhaust did the same for you as it did for Neal. His truck is like night and day now with that new exhaust on it. It is a monster trying to watch him launch the truck off the line, he has to learn all over again on how to launch the truck right. Have fun and just remember, tires cost a pretty penny too !!!

Nice setup! Do you have headers on your truck? That exhaust would work great with them. Why all the clamps? For the $$ you spent it should have been welded.

That is a niiiiccee setup dude!!!!! I agree with you, it may not be as loud as your old exhaust but as you say it's Deep and Agressive and has a more tuned sound to it, I like that in an exhaust system. When you get the sound pics posted, drop me a line or just post here's my mail jckm@willard-oh.com , later man can't wait to hear it
