Where did you find the tail pipes from behind the mufflers out the side? The picture looks like you have side exit.
I want to put togeather a custom combination for my exhaust but I am having problems finding pre-bent side exit pipes for behind the mufflers.
I got them from JDM in NJ, they are designed for a Lightning.
his # is 732-780-0770

I don't know if he will sell just the rear pipes.

Thanks Don!!!

hi don,

i just wanted to voice a hearty thanks for the advise, pointers,
and most of all the pix! in this case, one picture is
worth 2000 words! what a great looking rig!

so far, i had only considered borla as that is what a local dealership
recommended, but your solution, covering the crossover, seems
like a better approach.

i had not earlier known about the crossover issue, but now hearing about it, i dont think its safe to ignore. i'll see if i can find some local magnaflow dealers to get a quote(sadly, i cant
do my own install).

thanks again, jackc...

your welcome

If you can't find a local Magnaflow dealer go to these guys. They can get you what ever you need.

So, could you give me any info??
Here is a pic of the drivers side 02 sensor, being that I have long tube heades look where we had to relocate the 2nd 02 sensor on that side.

So anything is possible, and most good exhaust shops can get the bungs to relocate 02 sensor.

Very nice pic...

Thanks again Don. That is a very clear informative pic, thanks for showing me how it is done. I am now back into the dilema of di/do with x-pipe, or just a regular catback. I am looking for a deep rumble (as possible) but dont want to loose a ton of low end. If you had another 4.6L with a 5spd, what would you do for an exhaust setup? (from the looks and sounds of things, you know how to get a nice setup onto your vehicles) Could you give me any other info or recommendations??

Thanks again, Matt
