One More Stupid Exhaust ?
One More Stupid Exhaust ?
What is the best performing and somewhere in the mild sounding, but throaty for the 99-2001 F-150. Two of my buddies have them from work and are wanting me to install a system on both of them. I told them that I would do some research and see what I come up with. I realize that this point has been beaten to death but this is all new stuff to me. They want a system that has dual rear exits and the names that I have seen thrown out are Gibson, Edelbrock, Flowmaster, Borla, etc. They are wanting to only spend about 400 or less. Thanks for all the help in advance.

You'll find a lot of different opinions, but i just installed the Flowmaster 40 DF SI/DO and it sounds very nice....just what I wanted. I didn't know what it would sound like until I got it back from the muffler shop, but places like that usually will make good suggestions......again everybodys taste are different. Don't know if that helps you at all.

That is funny stuff. I was just out there on business not 1 week ago. What a coincindence. I really like the area out there. If I could just make a living out there in the country...I would move in a heartbeat. We were doing some environmental investigation for the Sterling Casket Hardware Co.
No, mostly for the presence of metals in the soil as a result of the plating process and any sort of VOC's or SVOC's that might be solvent used in the plating process (Volatile Organic Compounds and Semi VOC). Everything looks to be coming up rather clean. Probably a disgruntled employee ratted them out for something that they didn't even do.
BlackHatch,
I have to agree with you about the Abbingdon area. We go and camp there every year. I think the place is called "Big River". Any way it is on the S. Holsten and we love the area. We go every year for the Highlands Festival. The Barter Theatre is also a favorite of ours. Later, Rich.

Well, turns out that the spares would have to be taken out witht he Gibson system so I went ahead and got the Flowmaster set up for both vehicles. Both guys were just wanting a few extra decibels with the exhaust note so I guess that system will do fine.
