Newbie with a Q

Hey guys,

I have a question, I have a black '99 F150 XLT extended cab, short bed, 5.4L, 4x4, rhino lining bedliner.

What do these exhaust systems (flowmaster) do for you, performance-wise?

How much do they cost?

As much information as possible would be helpful...I know NOTHING!!!

Thanks in advance

flows?...

i have duals on my 4.6 and after i put them on i did notice a slight loose at the low end but once your above 2000 rpm,s the power increase is noticable. the muffler it,s self costs around 80 bucks. a good muffler shop can do the pipes and install for around 200. now this is in texas and your in cal. so it may be alot more ,but shop around and ask some of the hot rod shops, they know of the hloe in the wall places that will do it cheaper than the franchise boys.good luck

Thanks TexforD, I posted a couple of questions in the engine section and nobody helped me out.

I do appreciate your help man. How much horsepower do you think it adds?

well it,s not the H.P.s.....

it,s the hairs standing up on the back of your neck when you hear those puppies kick in when your getting on the highway that counts.

Browse this EXHAUST forum for my 3" flowmaster/dynomax system, you can hit my website there and see the install for yourself.

Sure, I think I gained a couple HP and torque... sounds sweet (see my site for sound clips).

It's a pleasurable experience. I get looks from other OE F150 drivers too like I have a big block in there or something. LOL.
