Taking Cats off

Just got a Flowmaster 40 series on my F150. It is not very loud. I was wondering if it would get louder if I took two of the Cats off. Also would it hurt the truck to take the two cats off.

I don't see where taking only the back 2 off would hurt anything. It would make it a little louder. My friend however has a 4.6 and was running consistent 16's flat until he took all 4 cats off and it dropped him 4/10's to a 16.40 the next week at the track. Needless to say, he put them back on. Just my opinion.
