no cats, x pipe,
Just order my new exhaust last friday. Decided on going with x-pipe into two spintech mufflers with a sideswept exit. The only thing is that i'm not sure if i want to leave the cats or make it a offroad setup. Does anyone know if the Mil elimators from a stang will work. if i do go with no cats? If anyone hasn't heard a spintech exhaust they sound sweet, my buddy used to have a gibson ss on his and it sounded ok but he swapped it out for a spintech and man it sounds 20x better.(IMO)
What do I gain from replacing the Y pipe?
I've been reading a lot about the 'Y' pipe being replaced. I'm just curious as to why and what should I expect to gain?
I would like to improve the response and pick up a few more horses here and there. I've changed to the K&N filter and have the Gibson Super Truck exhaust.
Would changing the 'Y' pipe help me out?
What pipe is the best to use? I've heard the FlowMaster pipe mentioned a lot.
I've also heard mention of swapping the cats on the F150 5.4 for cats off the F250HD 5.4. Supposedly they have only two cats not four like the F150. the article I read said their performance was a lot better than the F150. Something about the F250HD having high flow cats. Is this the case?
If so, anyone know if there would be a problem with the oxygen sensors?
thanks
