Question Flowmaster 40 Series on 4.2

On my last F-150, I had the 4.6L V8 with the Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow SI/DO muffler and loved the sound. I want the same deep, loud rumble I had with the old truck, but now I have the 4.2 V6. How much difference in sound am I going to get? What's the best exhaust to get for the V6 that will give me a loud, deep, throaty sound?

I have the Flowmaster 40 si/do exhaust on my 4.2 v6 f-150. It sounds decent. But it gets a little high pitched as the RPM's rise. I ordered two 22" X 3-1/2" exhaust tips to mellow it out some, thinking hopefully that it will make it a little deeper sounding also. You could alway's try some huge tips to deepen the sound. Just my 2 cents...

flowmaster

Dump the flowmaster. Had a SI/DO 40 series on my truck for ~40,000 miles. It sounded good, but was too loud in the cab. Also had a terrible drone in the cab, and sounded kinda raspy. I recently swapped it with a Magnaflow and I love it. I noticed that I picked back up on the low end I lost with the flow. The drone in the cab is gone. The magnaflow sounds much better overall than the flowmaster, IMHO. It is still considereably louder than stock, and it really opens up when my foot is in the firewall.
