kuhnbrady-

Buy a quiet muffler. These are usually larger to accomodate more chambers/packing.

Lightbulb sound deadening material

your best bet is a new muffler. other than that i do not know. i guess you could put some sound deadening material in your cab so you do not hear it as much...but that may not be the kind of fix you are looking for. good luck.

resonators?

on a V8 with true duals (properly connected with an H or X pipe) shouldn't resonator tips make it quieter?

IIRC, they create sound waves out of phase with the exhaust pulses, thereby cancelling most of the noise.
