Question Slightly Crooked Tip... Help!!

I had a cat back exhaust put on my 2002 FX4 Lariat yesterday and I am completely pleased with the sound, however the left exhaust tip hangs a little lower than the right one. I would like to go back into the shop, but I don't think I will be able to anytime soon with work, I was wondering if there is anything really special about straightening out the tip or if it could be straightened just by pushing it?? I have a feeling that it is something that I should leave up to the muffler shop, but if I can just do it on my own, I will because it will be easier and quicker. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate the ideas. Thanks

What brand of cat back system is it? I just installed a Borla and had the same exact problem. I called the factory and they said that the left tailpipe hanger that comes with the kit is actually shorter than the right side hanger (both came with the kit). The diagram that came with the kit didn't indicate this so I assumed they were both identical. I went out to measure and I found that I had the two hangers switched (short one on the right side, etc.) You may want to crawl under your truck and check it out. Should only be one bolt per side that holds the new hangers on (if it's a Borla). Good Luck.

Well, I got a Flowmaster system installed with straight pipes. I bit the big one and went into the garage that installed it this morning at 7 (before work), they looked at it and agreed that the driver's side one was crooked. They cut a slit in the tailpipe between the tip and the hanger, bent it up slightly and then welded it back together. I also got them to fix the exit angle of both pipes a little higher. So I guess that is what has to be done, I dunno. Good luck getting your pipes straight! It looked really easy and only took them 15 minutes or so.
