Gibson Exhaust
Gibson Exhaust
I am running a 2002 f150 super crew. I am concidering a gibson super truck exhaust system. I really like the sound and the exit location. Can anyone tell me why this is not a good idea? How about tell me if it is a good idea? I was also thinking about whether the 5.4L can produce enough back pressure to upgrade this exhaust to a true duel. As in one super truck pipe coming out either side with an H pipe in the middle. What do you think????
i have a supertruck. it looks good, and has a good rumble. personally though i would have chosen a quieter exhaust that will not loose as much back pressure. while i did notice more middle and upper end power, my low end tourque was noticeably weeker. now that i have the superchip and AF-1 things are better. but it is still on my to do list to have it switched out. but if you like how it looks, (i personally think it looks the best) like a reasonably loud rumble, and don't mind a slight decrease in low end tourque it is a great system. i would let you take mine for a reasonable price. but i do not know if there is a difference between the supertruck for the 4.2l and the one for the 5.4l. just my .02.

I got a Super Truck on mine and have no complaints about it! I think it sounds great (without the annoying interior ressonance either)!
I didn't really notice any low end torque loss, but maybe its different with the auto trannys ( I have a 5spd)? If you like to tow, check out Gibsons website to see if its recommended for towing or not.
