Thumbs up Swapped put the Gibson for Flowmaster

I took of my Gibson SS this morning and put on a Flowmaster 30 series, what a world of difference in a very positive way. I wanted alittle more sound than I was getting out of the SS and was worried about the low end if I switched. I put on the FM SI/SO and run the pipe out in front of the rear wheel, no loss of low end at all in fact in feels better all around on performance, sounds is nice, not loud at all at idle but sounds much better going down the road. For anyone looking at a new exhaust I am extremely pleased with this and only $85 installed .

I so badly want to do an exhaust mod but don't want a loud abnoxious truck. Wish I could hear what yours sound like. Was really leaning towards the Gibson like you had but now I hearing more people just doing the muffler change. Good Luck!

stown -- You got a great deal! Good going.

Bob -- I know exactly how you feel. Everyone has a different idea of what sounds good and what is too loud. Personally, if I am going to replace a perfectly good stock muffler I don't want it to sound stock. I want some noise. If you are not sure of what they sound like, you might visit your local muffler shop and have them fire up a sample for you. Gibson has some sound bytes on their web site that might help you too. Good luck.
