Ok I have my 88 F-250 with a 460, now I just want more. I can't seem to find any decent long tube headers, edelbrock and holley are both shovie based, and I have looked into carquest, etc headers but I don't think they are the trick. Any help would be appriated.

 

Ford4Fun, I have heard that long tube headers are not any good unless you are racing all the time. They help the higher rpm section of the motor. What I have found from others about my quest on headers for my 302 is that the headers should be shorties and equal length tubes. I am not sure what would be the situation for the 460. From www.truckperformance.com, they show BBK, Gibson, JBA and Thorley (Jardine) headers for your truck. They seem to be all shorties with Thorley (Jardine) giving the highest HP & TQ figures gained with the install. JUst my thoughts.
