Well i know that 4.6 mustangs with this setup sound really good. So im wondering if a 4.6 F-150 would sound the same, and if its even possible to do.

Thanks

If you want to spend a few more pennies (and you know a good exhaust shop) go for an X-pipe instead of the H-pipe. It will give you more hp and torque vs. the H-pipe.

Yes it is possible and yes it should sound really good. Check out the supercharger section and look for a post by Flatsman. He posted a video w/sound of his new setup. It's a maganflow x-pipe and dual magnaflow mufflers. Of course his is all decked out with a charger but still the sound should be great on any V8.
If the money is available I would suggest going with an x-pipe has I think it should make the two cylinder banks mix more evenly and help retain more of the low end torque. An x-pipe will cost you around 130 where as the best h-pipe kits are under 50. Magnaflow, Spintech, and Dynomax all make one.
I plan to go to get an new system ASAP but would rather put it off till I can afford an x-pipe setup. Way I see it you get great flowing, great sounding true duals with no or little low end loss. In the other hand for the cost of an h-pipe setup you really can't go wrong either.
