Do I have Gibson???

Hi,
Is there a way you can tell that a truck has a Gibson installed?
I have used F-150 with pipe ending behind right rear wheel...
Is it kind of stock exhaust system or something else?
Thanks,
Alex.

Alex -- I don't have a Gibson, but I think they all come with a chrome or polished stainless steel tip. The tip would be welded or clamped to the end of the exhaust pipe. A stock exhaust just has the bare pipe no special tip.

If you have a bare pipe you probably have a stock exhaust. If you have a custom tip it still may not be a Gibson. This isn't much help. Maybe a Gibson owner has an easy way you can identify one. Good luck.

Hey Alex... take a look at your exauhst tip it should have a stamp on it, if not take a peek under your truck at the muffler it should have the manafacturers stamp on it.

Look at the bottom of the muffler. You should still be able to make out the Ford emblem etched into it with a part number. That would mean it was stock.
