Question Gibson Is In BUT I have a ????

Everything went well... Easy Install. However the OEM setup had what I think is just a Wieght to stop it from moving as much.

Here it is...

Have any of you placed this back on with the Gibson sweptside?
If so where did ya put it?

Thanks,
Andre S.

BTW: I will update the F-150 link on my site soon..!

I could be wrong, but I believe this is to dampen any resonance that mat occur in the stock exhaust system. Resonance is when the "natural" frequency of an object matches the frequency of another object and amplify each other. I would test your system without out it and see if you get a "hum or rattle" at cerain speeds or RPM's. If you do, install the thing. If not, don't.

thank you!

mega max,

thank you so much. i have a gibson supertruck and it was resonating pretty bad in the cab. it was getting really annoying. and i have only had it for a few days/weeks. i forgot to put that little anti resonating peice back on. since i did my truck is way quieter in the cab. while still maintaining the mean sound outside. thanks for reminding me!!but like tim said...i really do not know what it is for either. but all i know is it did help my situation a whole bunch.
