I spoke to Mike Troyer (from the Chips forum) and asked him what was the best system for torque and hp; he said the Magnaflow Cat-Back system. I bought it and love it! Great looking and great big-block sound to match. I would highly recommend it.

I would also like to know the price for this setup. I'm looking at SI/DO for my F150 5.4.

Thanks

I like the description of the Magna. I am sending the link to their site. Can a present owner tell us how it has performed regarding MPG and how it sounds? Please see the link:

Sound levels

I would also like to hear from someone that has installed it. I'm wondering about the sound levels both inside and outside the truck. I want something that sounds a little thicker, and somewhat louder, but I don't want it to sound obnoxious. Likewise, I'd like it if the sound levels inside the cab weren't that different. Of course I want to hear a little more when I accelerate, but I don't want a drone at highway speeds. Is this a good setup for those requirements?

I went Magnaflow, but a custom install. Cut out the stock Y and went true duals. Used a 14486 stainless DI/DO with integral X pipe (crossover). It sounds great outside and gives just enough sound inside to let you know it's not stock anymore. No excessive cab noise at all. Magnaflow is definately the way to go. Lifetime warranty and all. Think about those chambered mufflers, how can it be better to have the exhaust flow go into a muffler and change directions about a dozen times before exiting out. Just doesn't make sense that that is better than the straight through desing of the Magnaflow.

The most?

Cut the Y pipe out, run dual 2.25" pipe from both sides to a DI/DO Flowmaster 50 with dual pipes out the side.

More power from idle to WOT. Sound to boot without drone!
