Anybody find a good deal on x-pipes?

This on the "other site" too, just making sure someone doesn't respond to both of them.

I'm doing some research on dual exhaust for my truck (97 4.6L, long bed) and woud really like to have an x-pipe in there for the low end and deeper sound. I know H-pipes are cheaper but I do not think they would be nearly as effective as an x-pipe. The best I have found is Spintech's for 149.99 and is perfect for my truck but sheeesh I can have all the rest of the exhuast done for 250 w/tips. By then I am up to $400 and could buy a complete Spintech or about any other exhaust. So as anybody seen one any cheaper that will work on our trucks, thanks?

If anybody wants info and pictures of this stuff, just shoot me an email at thomaswright5714@hotmail.com

Have you already investigated Magnaflow?
I saw these if you haven't.

Thanks Max
I forgot all about Magnaflow. You wouldn't happen to know a general price range on their x-pipes would ya? Better yet do you know of a good place on the net to order magnaflow products, doesn't Mike Troyer deal with them?

So far from the price looks of it I might have to go with an h-pipe, which sucks to me.

Yes, Mike is a Magnaflow dealer. I don't have the prices; any Magnaflow dealer can give you current prices. Magnaflow has a dealer finder on their website. Pre-made H-pipes are cheap; $35 or so. Even cheaper are shop made or Flowmaster fish mouthed H-ends at a shop. X-pipes are substantially more than any of these.

Actually, Magnaflow makes a DI/DO with an integral X pipe. I have it on my HD, Check my sig. It's a sweet muffler and sounds great.

lrutt, I thought that Spintech was the only company offering that type of combo. I saw no mention of it on the Magnaflow website either.

If you could, please post some more info about your system.
Maybe even some pics if U gottem

THANX!

Magnaflow 14486 and 14586 I believe. Those are the ones the Lightning guys use quite often. I looked in mine before it went on. Nice X pipe in there. Works and sounds well. All SS, guaranteed for life.
