Would this cat-back be not recommended for towing?

It is not recommended for towing, but I do occasional towing with it on, and I don't notice anything wrong with it.

"They" just say it'll resonate more in the cab. Some people like that!

and they also say that it will put exhaust in the bed if you have a camper, and that it may blow sute on your trailer and load.

I think those are side output, right? If so, soot or fumes shouldn't be a problem. That occurs mostly with rear outlet. I don't think it's recommended for towing because of the size of the porting and piping. I believe it may actually reduce the torque rating. And as Mitch said, under load, it may very well be a little "loud" with low frequency drone in the cab.

Like Linetest said too. It's a side exit before the rear tire, and is really loud to begin with. Gibson even says that it'll resonate really bad when under load. I think they even say that with the Split Rear version (duals, straight out the back), because of the 'soot' thing and just my own theory, you could have a fume probem caused by the 'void' between the trailer and a camper shell. The air does not circulate very well back there. The exhaust gases could build up and if you don't have an air tight seal on the rear door.......

I know this 'void' exists, because as a kid, I would open the rear door on our camper shell when we were towing the travel trailer and it was it's own little world back there. Really quiet and no rush of wind that you would expect. Then my Dad caught me and really let me have it!!
