Which exhaust should I get?

I just purchased my 99 F150 two moths ago. I've since found this site and it's great. So here is my question. I want to put new exhaust on it.I had a V8 Taurus SHO with a Borla cat back system. It sounded great. But I don't know if I want something that loud. But isn't it louder in a car vs a truck? So what do you guys think I should get? I'm going back and forth between Borla, Flowmaster and Gibson. I've had Borla on my SHO, and Flowmaster on a Mustang which I also liked. I want something that has a deeper/throaty sound. So any help you guys can give me would be a great help. Thanks guys.

Cool

You'll get way too many opinions on this one. (maybe?) What is loud for one, is quiet for another. And on and on......

Basically, the Gibson Swept Side will be the quietist of them all. That's what I have and it's just right, "for me". It's much better then stock, but won't "pound" you on the highway either. Supposed to increase your low end torque some too.

The other's, IMO, are much louder and really only increase power in the higher rpm range. Not what I wanted for my truck. Your SHO and Mustang were different types of vehicles and "required" a certain exhaust tone (and rpm range). I too had a 5.0 GT, and loved the sound from the Flo-Pros I had on it (it was pretty loud, my wife didn't like to take long rides in it.).

Pretty much gonna have to make your own call on this one. There are tons of posts on this subject, and after reading several hundred of them you should get a pretty good idea of where you might want to go.
