Side exhaust

Anybody know why they changed from the side exit to rear exit pipes? I have heard that side exit fumes discolor the wheels, but mine doesn't. I also heard that Ford was trying to make it more quiet for passengers, so they moved it back but mine has facotry stuff and is quiet inside.

I should have known you would be to stupid to understand. This is a legit reason why Ford moved the location of the tail-pipe.

-Ask around if you think I am pulling your leg? You asked why and I told you.

How can you argue when it is obvious you had no idea? How old are yuo again?

the actual reason was the discoloring of the wheels. especially in colder temps. mine weren't discolored at all when i got the truck 2 years ago, now however the one center cap is as green as the grinch.
as far as the dresses, just gotta find women who where mini skirts so the exhaust can't get them.

As soon as I find the link on www.blueovalnews.cmo talking about the dresses of woman being discolored I will post it. I am sure the wheel color was a good reason as well. Thanks Wild Child.

You like to use the word stupid. So did Forest Gump. I just have a hard time picturing a ladys' dress getting discolored. The exit point is well back of the doors. I had heard about the wheels discoloring, like Wild said, only it hasn't happened to my wheels. Some things, true or not sound so far fetched that only seeing is believing. You also like to use the word suck!!HMMMMMM

So your saying that on a Regular cab model the exhaust would not be close to the passenger door???

I usually don't get mad on message forums because it is just a waste of time. But is there any chance you will be in the Houston,Tx area anytime in the near future?

I would love to see how much you can talk face to face.

I know this is in poor taste, but for some reason I just don't like you I guess.

I guess when I was picturing this lady getting her dress all fogged up, I was thinking of my SuperCab. But, the beds are the same length, so that would put the exit of the pipe an equal distance in back of the cab. I don't see a lot of change with dresses if it's in front or behind the back tire. I mean, it's not like it is exiting from under the door or anything. Maybe the lady was wearing a hoop skirt. You said it Wild, minis all the way.

And to answer your question...No, unfortunately I will not be in Texass in the near future. Pitty though. I would have enjoyed it.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Never been in your truck with it running waiting for your wife to lock the house up?

Or waiting for her while she runs in the store?

Etc...........

Any more smart comments?

chill

hey eduk8er, you asked a question and 02xlt gave you an answer. Who cares if you think it's stupid. Just cuz it's not the answer you wanted doesn't mean it can't happen. If you're not going to appreciate people's opinions and answers then don't post a question !

I always lock up the house, then make sure the wife and kids are in. I usually shut off the truck while waiting for my wife to return from the store. Don't want to waste gas and spray fumes all over the guy that is parked next to me.

I got a million of them!
