For those of you that say they don't exist and those of you who are interested, A company by the name of Lightning Performance Prod. in Oregon now makes these. Ph. # 541-885-7730. They say that they will fit all 4x2 5.4 v-8.
Now some one school me on headers. What is the diff. between shorty and long equal length?
Any one have a preference on shorty headers?

Long tube headers are very efficient at transferring heat down stream from the cylinder heads. The truck's OEM catalytic converters operate efficiently only within a specific heat range. By using long tube headers, you run the risk of overheating your converts and prematurely failing them. You also run the risk of having your 80,000 mile federal mandated emission warranty being voided as well as not being able to pass smog tests in certain states. Don't get me wrong, I would love to install these on my truck. The smog test in eastern Missouri is extensive and this is my daily driver. I can not run the risk that someone would fail my truck over a technicality even though it could be properly setup to produce low NOx and CO emissions.

Think that, What Ranger, has a point. If you don't get high flow cats to compensate for heat increase you'll eventually toast the stock cats. Try a few forum searches, or post a thread on the Lightning forum if you don't get a better answer on this thread.
