finally a true dual aftermarket system?

I just finished reading my newest Truckin magazine and stumbled accross an ad for Spintech mufflers. They are advertising a "true dual" cat-back system for the 98-01 F150's. This would be the first company to offer a true dual system. It looks interesting and includes a X-pipe. Page 328 of the January 02 magazine.

Where did you find that pic? Looks good doesn't it! Much better than the hack job I did on my 97....

Hello V10 man, I got the pic from one of the bulletin boards (either this one or the world?). A few months ago I began researching prospective exhaust systems and found this picture in a reply. I was happily surprised because it was just what I had in mind so I saved it.

I contacted Spintech a while back and I included the same picture in my E-mail. They led me to believe that they sell that very same unit as a bolt on, cat-back replacement for the factory Y-pipe. More precisely, they buy their X-pipe kits from Dr. Gas and weld them up to fit our fords as well as many other applications.

Needless to say, when the funds are available I will get this system. Most probably with a 2 1/4" X -pipe and 2 1/2" tailpipes. I am undecided on mufflers (if any ) as of yet.

BTW, dont knock a good hack job. Everyone does them sometimes but most prefer to call them "prototypes" instead.

Good Luck, LE PEW.

The Spintech dual exhaust looks awesome. Finally, a dual mandrel bent catback for our trucks.
