Talking This exhaust rocks!

I originally had a flowmaster cat back system(dual out the back). I decided it wasn't loud enough so I removed the muffler and measured it. Then bought some 2.5" exhaust pipe and a 45 degree angle pipe and fabricated an exact replacement straight pipe that retained the duals. The sound is awesome! It is still pretty quiet while idling, but when you letr' rip it comes alive! It actually has just a slight snap to it like a glass pack, but still has the deep throaty sound. I will take a picture and post it, pretty neat. I haven't noticed any performance changes, it performs the same as the flowmaster.

Hey Farmall

Do you ever check out YTMag.com. I enjoy reading about the old tractors there. My dad has a '53 Super C. -- Martin

MWKellner,

I just missed out on a chance to buy a Super M, currently we have 2 B's, a IH 1086, C-IH 7320. Of all of them the B is my favorite, ussually when i'm shredding fence lines i 'll use the B, you would be suprised as to how many people will stop and ask questions and take pictures of it. My grandfather used to plant strawberries and those 2 B's were his first couple of tractors he had ever bought back in 41. The thing that kicks my but is that we used to have a M but my dad traded it for a 79 Landcruiser fj-40.

still off topic

The super c was my grandfather's. there are still two c's at the farm with my grandmother (near Sealy) and I will be sure to get one of them before they are gone.

Thumbs up Farmall

Bought my Dad's 1954 Super M T/A back from my sister just a couple weeks ago. We restored it 3 years ago, new 12 volt system, paint, etc. Still needs tires, but I'll wait til spring. This tractor has done it's share of work, now it will just be parade material. My Dad is almost 81, and you should see his smile when he starts that tractor up. Starts and runs on a low idle. The T/A doesn't work, but don't plan to fix it. Too expensive for what it is worth. I plan to do some touch up things to it next summer. Damn, I wish my scanner worked so I could post it. Are there any good antique Farmall sites out there? All I have found is guys' individual web pages. What was this thread about?

i'm back

Been out of town a few days, read all the replies to my post, sounds like ytmag has taken over here! Ytmag is an excellent website, almost like a tractor bible online! I have a '40 H that was my Grandfather's. He willed it to me when he died. It doesn't see much work anymore, although it's still very capable! I do an occasional tractor pull with it to keep her fresh! I also have an A and don't let this secret out, but it is an awesome pulling tractor! I pulled it in the 2500# and 3500# classes. It came in 3rd in the 2500# and finished 4th in the 3500#!! It was the only "A" out there and it surprised everybody including myself! This tractor is bone stock too! Well, so much for talking about exhaust systems!
