Talking Sweet v6 Exhaust Installed!

It's Saaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeettt! Here it is, sounds great:

Flowmaster 50 2.5 in, 2.5 out, SI/SO
Stock Pipes
22",4' Chrome Tip slanted to the right

It sounds awsome! No loss in torque, my friends and I decided that is sounds like a V7, gained horsepower on the road, big time. 225 out the door. Installed in 30 minutes. Nice tip, friends love it, girlfriend approves, Dad said it sounds good, mom approves, sister said im making up for something (yeah whatever that means !?!?). Anyhoo, its a nice setup.

Tip cost?

How much did that tip cost you, and can you tell a major difference in the sound? I put a flow 40 on today and it sounds damn nice, just want the tip cause i heard it mellows out the sound a bit. Tip should be about $20 for me, just havn't called to find out how much install is.

Hey Charles! I see that you and I have done about the same thing. Definately get the longest, widest tip you can. I would recomend getting a stainless tip, but, you could go with chrome. Chrome is just more work. I have the spray it with wd40 about once a week. Stainless steel won't rust at all. Both will get the black inner tube. I say go for it. The bigger the tip, the better the sound (lower and deeper). Mine sounds like a v7, not quite and 8, but much deeper than it orginally was. When the installer took off my muffler, he fired it up and said "this is was straights will sound like". It sounded terrible! Way too loud for my liking. Anyhow, good luck on that tip. Go big!

Sorry, didn't answer your question. It cost me 45. Carparts.com has a jumbo tip for like $33. I didn't have to wait, i bought it from meineke. Paid 225 for everthing.

The tip prolly would be about 10-15 bucks to install. It'd take no more than 15 minutes.

got it

I had them install a 22" x 3.5 " echo tip. Good lord it sounds AWESOME now. The combo of the flow 40 and the tip is just unimaginable. This is as close to V-8 as you'll ever get from a v-6. Perfection!
