Question Is this a cat-back system?

I have seen a few trucks with dual exhaust at the back. Except instead of chrome tips coming straight out of the back under the bumper, they have a pipe angling downard towards the ground.

Almost like a turn down I guess. You can barely see the pipes usually. Does anyone have a picture of this ???

Is this a cat-back system from someone or just something done at the muffler shop? Thanks

02xlt...
a cat-back system is an ehaust system that was replaced from the converter back (a new muffler and tailpipes) usually they come in a kit with the muffler and tailpipes. Muffler shops bend their own pipes where as kits are pre-bent. I got mine done at a meineke. they put a si/do flowmaster and bend their own tail pipes and put the tips on for me.Actually they could put a kit on for you. but youhave to order it and get the right parts but they could make a new pipe if it doesn't fit right. if you want turndowns,as long as the shop has a pipe bender they could bend you the turn downs. I think i rambled on enough. good luck wih what you decide to do...

Thanks
I know what a cat-back is. I was asking what manufacturer carries this cat-back I am describing (if at all)? I should have been more clear. Thanks man!

ooops, sorry. I wasn't insulting your intelligence by any means but, what i was tryin to say was that any exiting exhaust could have turndowns on them, they don; thave to be specific to a certain cat-back system. It is probably something they added on themselves. You can get the turndowns from pepboys or performance shop...

I'll second that. All the catback systems I've seen -- whether Flow's, Gibsons, Borla's, etc -- have always come with some sort of straight back (or side) nifty tips. The turn-downs sound like either a muff shop job or a PepBoys special.
