Just put a Heartthrob Exh. Only $199
Hey everyone... Just wanted to let you know about Heartthrob Exhaust... I ordered it though JC Whitney.. It was only $199 I have a 2001 Supercrew with the 4.6l ... I was worried that in that price range it would not sound as good as some of the others.. Or that the quality would be lacking... I was very impressed with the quality ... Installation was a snap... For more info e-mail me... and the sound... well I was very impressed... Very deep throaty sound... with out a overbearing loadness... really made the 4.6l sound nice... My friend put a Gibson on his and I really think mine sound alot better... Well just my opinions... and at $199 it was a heck of a deal....
did you stay w/ the single side exit or did you go w/ the dual exit? Also, if it is a dual out, is it a true dual-in/dual-out? Last, have you noticed gains in the horsepower/torque department? Thanks.
Sorry about that Sweed, after i posted my ?, i re-read your post and noticed that you said email w/ questions...
Just out of curiosity, why did u choose to exit in front of the tire? My father-in-law had a 97 w/ the same and hated it. Complained that it fouling the rear passenger tire/wheel something fierce. Did you use clamps or did you weld yours?

I liked the look infront of the tire, has that sport truck look... since mine is a 4x2... I have read some post about the exhaust being hard on the back tire... it is to early to tell... I will hit 2100 miles today probably... I keep my tires pretty clean so I am hoping with the tire shine materials it wont be so bad... or it might be worse ? time will tell... I ended up clamping mine.. I have retightened the second day, first thing in the morning when it was cold... and check a couple times since.. and it has been fine... if I still had my welder I tink I might have welded it.. but so far the clamp is working well.... Being an off road person you might want to just clamp... it would be an easier fix if you do damage some thing or drag it ?
