Trying to Decide if Wiring or Sensor
Trying to Decide if Wiring or Sensor
Here is the current diagnostic...
I have a 2016 F150 and I took an OBDII diagnostic that I've attachment. My babies (Trucks) symptoms are when I'm driving short distance the coolant (full) will drop to L, then coolant light illuminates, fan runs, and truck will stall. When attempting to restart turn key and engine keeps attempting to start, if I start mashing gas I can get it back started and the RPMs are super inconsistent reving real high. The check engine light will come on sometimes. I park it and after a few hours acts normal when starts and does it again a few minutes into driving. I have reset the codes and it just does the same the next day. Am in dager of it truly overheating OR does this sound like (along with the codes) just a senor or possibly a wire fault? I appreciate any feedback please. Im out of state and want to get advice before taking it in since they last month found liquid detergent had been poured in my gas tank and I had to pay 1300.00 to replace the fuel pump and manifold I'm not in the best financial place to just pour more money into problem solving before I take it back in.
The coolant dropping to "L" and the light coming on could indicate a leak in the system, a problem with the coolant temperature sensor, or a more serious problem with the water pump. If the coolant drops quickly, you could be at risk of overheating, which could cause long-term engine damage.
