I am ready to install my Volant CAI kit, but looking at the front ram air snorkel, it appears I would have to cut out some of the plastic front wheel well cover to fish it through. Who has installed this on their F150. My truck is a 2012 XLT 302 V* for reference.

 

I would recommend saving your original wheel well cover and get a used one from a junk yard to experiment with. This way if you decided you don't like it anymore, you can quickly change it back to stock.

 

Thanks Manual. Once I get a warmer day, I will take out the stock air box and take a look down there.
