hello everyone new to this forum, I just bought a 08 ford f150 king ranch with many miles, 189k.
I have had it for 1 month now, it rund great and still feels strong.
the only issue I noticed and that has me worried, is that after I have been driving it then reverse to park in my driveway.
engine starts to make a loud nocking noise like if it wants to turn off.
so i turn it off then continue and it works fine.
any suggestions as what this may be?

 

Any engine codes? If it wants to turn off, there might be some pending codes (not enough to activate the CEL).

What engine?

 

If it's a 5.4, it's probably low oil pressure, messing with the VCT system.

 

no engine codes, runs great most of the time.

 

have you had the same issue? it worries me i need to fix quick.
