dual exhaust

I had a 2005 F-150 with 5.4. I had dual exhaust (FlowMax) put on the truck. Great sound.

I now have a 2014 with a 3.5L ecoboost.

The guy at the muffler shop said I won't get the same sound due to the low air flow of the 3.5L.

Anyone know how to solve this?

You won't get the same sound because it's a V-6, not a V-8. There are plenty of Ecoboost exhaust systems made that are loud. Examples:

You'll never get the same sound as a v8 with a v6

I tried a dual exhaust on two v6 engines, and the 4.2l makes a better noise than the smaller ones. But it still sounds like a v6.

It really depends if you like the musical note.

I much prefer the noise from a v8. Soothing to the ears.
