i have a flowmaster delta II that is dual out. i have decided i want a single side exit. would it be possible to keep the same muffler even though it is dual out?

Yes you can

When I was having my exhaust done I saw some tip choices that had 2 in & 1 larger out (a Y tip). Could figure out why you would want that until you just asked. Makes sense.
