Cold Air Intake on 2014 5.0L

From what I've found in archive it appears that a intake may not boost my performance at all? Can someone confirm.

Thanks,
Chip

Correct. The factory intake is a cold air intake. It will only boost performance in conjunction with other mods and a programmer with custom tunes.

Darn. Was looking for a quick boost to HP for under $250.
Will welcome any recommendations on that engine. Very happy with power and MPG so far.

A programmer and tunes will cost you more than that. Nothing for under $250 will make a real difference. If you want it to SOUND more powerful, delete the resonator. A full exhaust won't flow any better than the factory exhaust, which is straight through all by itself.

Agreed,
The air intakes just make it sound cool because they have a deep throaty growl. But, no increase in power. I good tune is you best bet, but they are spendy.
