Removed exhaust

I removed the exhaust on my 2000 HD F150 due to rust through. I am now running it with just the factory cats. I plan on simply running straight pipe and dumping them out the side Lighning style. When I did the Gotts mod, I removed the negative cable to allow the computer to reprogram for the increased air intake. Is this necessary when freeing up the exhaust as well?

It never hurts to r restart the learning cycle, especially when something changes from factory.

Assuming you still have front 02 sensors, it will relearn on its own in a matter if minutes, if you reset or not

Thanx for the info, guys. She's running fine, but I think I'll do it anyways, just to be sure.
