Flowmaster 40 series vs. 50 series

I've decided to go with single 3" pipe and a Flowmaster on my pickup (no cat converter). My question is, how much louder is the 40 series compared to the 50? I don't want to be annoyingly loud, but I don't wanna buy something thats too quiet either. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Cool

From my experience, the flow-master 40 system is a great deal louder and more aggressive sounding than stock (original fm 40's give more growl than the delta-flow 40's).

On the other hand , I am told that the fm 50 system is a bit louder than stock so if you want to grab attention, go with the 40.

Thanks for the info. The muffler thats on my truck now is some $20 NAPA special, so its still pretty quiet, even with 3" pipe and no cat converter. I think I'll probably end up with a 40 series, as I do want a nice barky exhaust note.
