2001 f150 super crew exhaust..

Hello,

I have a 2001 super crew 5.4

I'd like to get a replacement exhaust because the previous owner had Flowmaster super 40 series that sounded great but all the piping is rusted and now broke from the muffler.

I noticed this kit on Ebay.. but when I looked at description.. it says it does not fit the 139" wheelbase..

Any of you guys know of a bolt/weld on kit that is within that price range of $190-$215.

I'm not looking to spend more than that because I may sell the truck.. I am not sure yet.. but I know I need to get it replaced either way..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/97-01-FORD-F150-Truck-Mandrel-Bent-Dual-Exhaust-w-Flowmaster-Muffler-/140941735605?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2001%7CModel%3AF-150&hash=item20d0c836b5&vxp=mtr
That is the exhaust I saw.. I emailed the seller and he said it would not fit my truck.

any of you guys modify it to make it work? some pics? Im decently handy with a welder but I am not trying to get into a big project.. would rather it just be a bolt in/weld deal without alot of fabrication.

Thanks for any help you can lend!

Shawn

that looks like my flow master exhaust system - but without the elbow option to exit out each back corner

I think , if otherwise the same , it would likely fit with a section of pipe added in front of the muffler to account for the longer cab / frame

mine came with a section of pipe like that to allow for the shorter than stock muffler

but , if you've installed any kind of aftermarket diff cover it may still not clear as the space for the tailpipe crossover , between the spare tire and diff cover is pretty tight

useing this system I had to cross off adding a nice fined diff cover

the flow master system I bought is alum on steel - it was $200-250
in stainless it's 6 hun up here (toronto)

Go to a muffler shop and get a system custom bent.
