1, you should be able to yank the entire engine/trans combo with computer out of the blackwood and bolt it in to your 150, they are basically the same truck.

2, the coyote boss intake will not fit a 5.4 4v engine, the coyote 4v heads are different than the standard (non vct) 4v heads, and the 5.4 blocks are taller and wider than the 4.6/5.0 blocks so the intake will not fit on the wider valley.

Engine and tranny are in already, i bought the adapter plates to sit the coyote intake, now my problem is to relicate the alternator

 so much fail with some of that info it's not even funny, plenty of people are using coyote 5.0 intake manifolds on 5.4 based DOHC motors

I have three different intake manifold setups, whichever one performs the best will stay, and we'll leave it at that

open an album here or use photobucket to post the pics

Will u be having issues with relocating the alternator?

I'm not relocating the alternator, but if I was, I'd have manual steering and install the alternator where the power steering pump was

I’m new to the site. Doing a 5.4 dohc swap in my 2002 f150.

I took my brothers heads off his 01 cobra and put them on my truck to make it a 4 valve. I have the mmr spacer kit so I can use the boss or coyote intake. What all would I need in order to make the rest of my swap work. I have the Navi timing cover and wiring harness. If I go with the coyote intake how would I relocate the alternater.

stoffer 03-16-2018 02:53 PM

throttle body for sure needs to be addressed

Ford2002 03-16-2018 05:43 PM

Mmr makes an adapter for the throttle body as well
