2000 5.4 cat question help

Hello I have a 2000 5.4 with the pre cats and then the rear cats. I want magnaflow cats but I don't want to buy the whole combo for around $800... Could I take all 4 of my cats out and put 2 magnaflow highflow cats while still passing my EMISSIONS TEST? (Could I get it tuned and take engine light off?) how much will it cost to have both cats taken out and putting 1 in? Is it even possible?

Please help me thankyou!!!

I was thinking the same thing does anyone offer a mid pipe or y pipe. Without cats then just add 1 magnaflow high flow cat. I guess you can always go to a custom muffler shop and have one made.

Well, I am going to say: Yes it can be done, & the check engine light will stay off.
I have done this several times, But in my area we do not have emissions inspections or testing.
So The best thing to do is talk to either a Performance Shop that keeps vehicals, emissions legal, or a Custom Exhaust shop in your area, as the laws are variable from state to state.

I think this would flow a lot more than stock.
