please help pcv problem

please help pcv problem

ok so i have a 97 f150 4.2 v6 and need to know where the pcv tube connects. i know it runs from the cylinder cover on the passenger side but from there i am so very lost. i have heard many different things, looked in my book and scoured google for a few days now and nothing. plz plz someone help this poor distraught soul...thanx guys

Mike, follow the tube from the valve. If you can't see it, it helps to remove the plastic doghouse from the top of the engine. It's going to go to either the throttle body or the intake somewhere. On the 97-03 V8's, it goes around the back of the engine. No idea about the 5.4 3 valve.

It might help to look up companies that do intake systems. Each one of them take a bunch of different photos of the engine compartment.

On my 03 V-6, the PCV valve is behind the coil pack. The pipe actually runs toward the FRONT of the engine to the side of the throttle body, right under the IAC valve. No idea how your 97 might be different.
