JBA or Bassani Headers?
I am going to buy new headers for a '00 Lightning. But I can't choose. From what i have read the bassani simply have a better product. But, I can get a coating on the JBA headers that reduces the under-hood temp and still come out $75 cheaper than the Bassani header. Anyone want to give me a hint or some stories that you may have heard?

The Bassani headers can come with the same ceramic coating for an additional fee. IMO the Bassani equal-length approach is superior. The Bassanis require you to unpin the driver's side motor mount and jack up the engine due to their additional size.
ACK!!! i'll have to jack up the left side of the engine? If that's true then im going to have to go for the JBA. Im not THAT experienced with trucks. Or is that not a really big deal?

It's true, I have the Bassani instructions right here. The equal length tubes take up more space. It's not a huge job, but does add some time and frustration on. The motor mount has a single pin (a long bolt) that is easy to get to, then, the driver's side is jacked up from just under the firewall (there are easily accessible jacking points). The trick is to monitor all of the wires, lines, etc. attached to the engine and trans to prevent damage. Putting headers on is a hassle, but simple on these trucks compared to many vehicles with less space.
