'06 4.6L RPM problem after cleaning throttle body

Exactly like the title says. I cleaned the throttle body about 5k miles ago, now the engine stays idled up when I let off the throttle while driving. When I'm driving the truck it feels like the cruise control is set. While coming to a stop the transmission noticeably down shifts while the engine tries to remain idled up. It usually stays around 1300RPMs then once at a stop (or in PARK)it drops to 650-750. WTF is going on?! My mileage is getting horrible

Hmmm that is a new one but I would post this in the "V8 Engines" section on the site instead of here. Sounds like the TB is somehow stuck open a little bit?? That's all I can think of but i'm sure you would notice that before you reinstalled it. I wish I could help. I'm currently battling the stupid oil filter right now. Can't seem to get this pos off.

Either your throttle plate or IAC is stuck open.

IAC is a possibility because the throttle plate is closed when the engine isn't running. I'll check the IAC and report back
