getting the right volume

I bought a 2013 f150 5.0l and right away I wanted a better sounding exhaust, so I went and ordered a 18inch magnaflow muffler. I installed it yesterday leaving my resonator in. I was expecting it to get a little louder but its no louder than stock. I am going to remove the resonator today and I have a feeling its going to be too loud for my taste. What can I do to get the sound in between?

I've heard of guys putting in a glass pack where the resonator was to help, would that be worth trying? if yes how long of a glass pack should I get?

Or what else have you guys done to get the truck to sound good without being overly loud?

thanks

a resonator, glasspack & your magnaflow are all the exact same sound absorbing concept & basic design......you are simply just doubling the length of your muffler (which will work)...typically, 24" is minimum ....I think you can fit up to 30"....

All you can do is try it. I changed mine many times until I found the sound I was looking for.
